Dear Malmo stadt
I am planning to move to Sweden as a Nordic citizen with a pension from Denmark. My income amounts to SEK 18000 after tax. I am planning to apply for a residence card for my partner following the EU rules for family members of Nordic citizens Source: (Source: https://www.migrationsverket.se/English/Private-individuals/EU-EEA-citi…
I understand that according to these rules I am exempt from the maintenance requirement (Having a fixed amount of income left after the rent is paid). What I need to know then is fundamentally important to us. I need to understand what income support my partner is able to get after she has registered with all the needed authorities in Sweden. She will have a resident card for being married to a Nordic citizen following EU rules. She is a non-eu citizen. I have written to Migrationsverket, Arbetsförmedlingen and Försäkringskassan but none of them have been informative or specific in their response. I am sure you are able to understand how important it is for me to know what income support my partner is able to get upon registering in all authorities in Sweden since my income alone is not a lot. Thus, I am hoping that you are kind enough to give me more detailed and specific information about this. I am looking forward to your information.
Kind regards
Elyar
